The Fine Print
Design time varies on the customization and number of pieces to your order. However, I suggest placing your order 6 to 10 weeks prior to when you would like to mail them to make sure I have enough time to design and print your invitations. You can expect to see a PDF proof within 3-5 business
days of your order.
Do you do custom designed wedding stationery?
Absolutely, the sky is the limit. Just fill out this form to tell me more about what you want. If you are on a tight timeline, you should probably stay within my existing collections. Custom designs can take up to 4-6 weeks to design.
I see an invitation/save the date I like that doesn’t have a matching save the date/invitation—can I get one?
You sure can! Any invitation design can be made into a save the date and vice versa! Email me and let me know which design you'd like to make your own.
How soon before my wedding should I place my order?
I suggest you place your order 8 to 10 weeks before you would like to mail them to make sure that I have enough time to design and print your invitations. Custom designs can take up to 4 to 6 weeks for design. If you choose an invitation from my invitation collection, you should see a proof via email within 3-5 business days of your order.
What kind of paper do you use?
I print my invitations/save the dates on 100# white/ivory smooth cover. I can also print on 80/100# linen cover if you’d prefer something with a little bit of texture. However, if you have a specific stock in mind, let me know and I will see if it is available.
Can I choose my ink colors?
Yes, everything is customizable! You can describe your colors to me, or feel free to send me fabric swatches or magazine pages. NOTE: I print my invitations 4-color process, which means that colors are not an EXACT match--but I will get them as close as I can!
Can I get letterpress/thermography/engraved printing?
Yes, you can. I work with a print shop that offers all these services. However, it can get quite pricey with my custom designs. If you are interested, I would be more than happy to get an estimate for you. Simply email me for more information.
What else can you do for my big day?
Chances are, if it is printed I can do it for you! Some other things I have done are: accommodation cards, direction cards, maps, reception cards, rehearsal/brunch/shower invitations, programs, escort cards, table numbers, menus, wine bottle labels and thank you cards. Phew, that was a mouthful!
Do you assemble invitations?
Yes, I can put them together for you for a small fee. However, most brides like to buy a bottle of wine (or four!) and invite friends over for an evening of stuffing!
When should the invitation be mailed?
The invitations should be in the mail 6 to 8 weeks before your wedding, or 10 weeks ahead if you are having a destination wedding (or lots of out of town guests).
When should a save the date be mailed?
Save the dates should be mailed 6 months to 1 year in advance, depending on if you have guests that need to make travel arrangements.
Do you address invitations?
Unfortunately, I am only a designer and not a calligrapher. There are many great calligraphers on Etsy, if you’d like I can direct you to a few.
Do you ship outside the U.S?
I can ship to Paris, Maine and Paris, France. Or London, Ohio and London, England...wherever you are, my stationary can find you! All my packages are carefully packed and handled with care by the USPS. (Pete makes sure of that) Shipping charges will apply.
What kind of dog is Pete?
Pete is a Boston Terrier. He’s always wearing a tuxedo, so he can make wedding appearances.
What if I have a question that wasn’t listed here?
If I have left you hanging, you can email me and I will gladly get back to you!
